It was at Montreal Olympic Games 1976 that she achieved one of the most unforgettable sporting moments of all time - - the first-ever perfect 10, for the asymmetrical bar. In addition the six perfect tens, and was the youngest Olympic gold medallist. Comaneci didn't just draw worldwide attention; she also helped put Romania onto the map. Through achieving a feat that was not possible, this sporting icon brought gymnastics to the forefront of the world's attention. Women's perception of gymnasts was changed by her performance. The impact she had on the Olympics was so significant that two of her moves such as the toe-on movement and the release movement were named after her. Both of them have been classified as being high-level difficult. Apart from the Olympics she was also the hottest athlete in the World Championships and European Championships. Her performances made her one of the top gymnasts to ever compete.
